Kristi Coombs

Co-Producing Team, 50th Anniversary Annie (Broadway 2027)

Kristi Coombs (Co-Producer, Annie) is an accomplished Broadway alumna, creative director, and lifelong fan of the Annie legacy. Her journey with the historic franchise began over four decades ago when she was cast at just 7 years old as Molly in the First National Touring Company, a role she played for 20 months. At 8 years old, Coombs was elevated to headline the show's Second National Tour in the title role, officially celebrating her 9th birthday just two days before her opening night performance as Annie.

Coombs made her official Broadway debut at age 11, originating the role of Young Norma Jean in Marilyn: An American Fable, where she performed the show's focal musical theme.

She has enjoyed a robust adult career as a principal performer in the world-renowned Legends in Concert franchise, an international performer for the Department of Defense and our troops overseas, and a choreographer/performer for the USO of Metropolitan New York. Miss Coombs is also a popular New York City entertainer whom you may have seen performing through the years at venues such as Feinstein's, BB King's, The Rainbow Room, HA Comedy Club, and The Edison Ballroom/The Supper Club in Swinging With the Rat Pack as Marilyn Monroe.

Kristi spent 10 years serving as Dance Director and faculty member for Broadway Artists Alliance, where she worked closely with Jennifer Johns and the industry. But the best part, according to Coombs, was witnessing the students share the same enthusiasm and love for theatre at the same young age. Kristi was honored to teach the students of BAA - the next generation.

Miss Coombs also keeps her Annie experience alive by speaking at various schools about her experiences in the show and on the road. Students love seeing old pictures and props, but their favorite is seeing her actual red Annie dress in person, a gift from Martin Charnin at the closing of the show.

Now, as Annie returns to Broadway to celebrate its historic 50th anniversary, Coombs steps into the role of Co-Producer under the leadership of Jennifer Johns and We R BAA. She is thrilled for such an incredible opportunity — not only to work with BAA again, but to be part of this incredible producing team. Coombs spent 4 years of her life with Annie and can't think of a better way to give back to the show that gave her so much than to help make this the best revival yet. Her unique journey - from a child actor at the heart of the original Annie phenomenon to a creative Co-Producer today - brings a depth of authentic knowledge, nostalgic equity, and creative alignment to the team, ensuring this golden anniversary revival honors its historic roots while captivating modern audiences.
