Tina Marie Casamento

Tina Marie is the Conceiver/creator and Lead Producer for the new musical about Judy's Garland's early life entitled "Chasing Rainbows; The Road To Oz". With a development deal from Sony, the show features songs from the Sony/Feist Robbins catalog based on Judy’s quote “The History of my life is in my songs”. We are proud to be the first project about Judy that is being supported by The Garland Heir estate. Chasing Rainbows has had developmental productions at Flat Rock playhouse, Goodspeed Musicals Main Stage and Paper Mill Playhouse just prior to the recent shut down of Broadway due to COVID 19. She attended and completed the Commercial Theatre Institute program in 2017, and was later invited back as a guest speaker to talk about creating Chasing Rainbows. 

After being invited to join T3I, a think tank for theatrical innovation, https://www.t3inyc.org and learning about Co Producing,  she began a partnership with long time friend Jennifer Johns to find new ways to bring theatre lovers to the producing table.  Together they formed We Are Broadway Artists Alliance LLC, Women Empowered to champion the next generation of theatre makers. Our goals is to provide networking, experiences, and conversation to our growing group. We Are Broadway Artists Alliance has co produced on Broadway, Once Upon A One More Time, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and The Hills Of California. Cabaret has earned Tony award and Drama desk nominations for outstanding musical revival. 

Directing credits include New York and regional productions of Vanities”, "Oklahoma!" "The Fantasticks", “Little Shop Of Horrors”, “Anyone Can Whistle”, "I Do, I Do" and “Maids Of Honor”. Most recently she directed a virtual production of Peter Pan and Wendy with Broadway Artists alliance. She has also directed numerous cabarets and variety performances and showcases. 

As an actress, her credits include Kiss Me Kate and Victor Victoria  first National Tours. Favorite regional productions include Trina in Falsettos and In Trousers, The Witch in Into The Woods at Arrow Rock Lyceum and The Bakers Wife in Into The Woods at Fulton. Other NY credits include Shelby in Spitfire Grill at Gallery Players and Aurora in That Other Womans Child NYMF. You can see her in season 3 of Submissions Only as Poppy Cosgrove. This is a popular web series about auditioning in NY created by Kate Wetherhead and Andrew Keenan Bolger.

As an educator, Tina Marie has taught master classes all over the county in Musical theater, Classical and contemporary acting, as well as the business of theatre for actors. She served as an adjudicator for Young Arts for 4 years, and as the Theatre chair for three. She was also an adjudicator and educator for the Roger Reese awards. She is currently a regular guest artist for BAA NYC.
